Overview

What is Umami?

Umami is a clean, open-source analytics tool: one lightweight script, one dashboard with visitors, referrers, pages and custom events. No cookies and no personal data collection — GDPR-friendly by design — and it's built to track many websites from a single installation.

Hosted analytics meters events, so every extra site and every traffic spike pushes you up a tier. Self-hosted Umami doesn't count: track every project you own — the portfolio, the SaaS, the side project of the week — in one place, at one flat price.

On livemy.app you pick the Umami template, click deploy, and the dashboard is live with SSL in about two minutes. Add a site, paste the snippet, and the numbers are yours — stored in your own database.

Why deploy here

Same app, no meter running

These tools are free and open source. What you normally pay for is someone else's server — and their pricing page.

Unlimited sites and events

Track every project you run from one installation — no event quotas, no per-site tiers, no upgrade email after a good traffic day.

Privacy-friendly by default

No cookies, no personal data collection — for most sites that means no consent banner, and the data sits in your database, not an ad network's.

No maintenance rabbit hole

SSL, storage and redeploys are handled for you. New Umami release? One click and you're on it — no server to log into.

How it works

Three steps, about two minutes

01

Pick the Umami template

Choose it from the gallery. Nothing to download, nothing to configure — the template already knows how Umami should run.

02

Click deploy

livemy.app builds it and gives you a live URL with SSL. Storage is attached automatically, so your data survives every restart.

03

Make it yours

Connect a custom domain and redeploy anytime in one click — from the dashboard, or triggered over MCP by the AI tool you already use.

FAQ

Self-hosting Umami, answered

How much does it cost to self-host Umami?
Free to try — the Free plan is $0 and gives you one project on a livemy.site subdomain. Maker is $10/mo and adds a custom domain, 10 GB and a 99.5% uptime SLA; Pro is $25/mo. Daily backups are a $5/mo add-on. No event caps, no per-site fees.
Umami or Plausible — which should I pick?
Both are lightweight, cookie-free Google Analytics alternatives — and both are in the gallery. Umami leans multi-site and custom events; Plausible leans on polish and simplicity. At a flat price you can deploy either and switch without losing anything but a script tag.
Will it slow my site down?
No — the tracking script is a couple of kilobytes, a fraction of Google Analytics. It loads asynchronously and sends tiny events to your own server.
Is self-hosted Umami hard to maintain?
Not here. The template ships with the database and free SSL already wired up. When a new Umami version lands you click redeploy in the dashboard — or trigger it over MCP from your AI tool. There's no server to patch and nothing to install on your computer.
