Overview

What is PocketBase?

PocketBase is a complete backend that ships as a single small executable: an embedded SQLite database, user authentication with OAuth, file uploads, realtime subscriptions and a clean admin panel. For most side projects and MVPs it's every backend feature you'll actually use, with none of the moving parts.

Where cloud backends meter reads, writes and storage — and get expensive or get paused when you're not looking — PocketBase just runs. Your users and data live in one file on your own server, trivially easy to back up, at a price that never reacts to traffic.

On livemy.app you pick the PocketBase template, click deploy, and the admin panel is live with SSL in about two minutes. Point your AI-built front end at its API, and you've got auth and data without a backend subscription.

Why deploy here

Same app, no meter running

These tools are free and open source. What you normally pay for is someone else's server — and their pricing page.

Everything in one file

Database, auth, files and realtime in a single tiny server — nothing to compose, and backing up your whole backend is copying one file.

No read/write metering

Cloud backends bill per operation, so success costs extra. PocketBase serves whatever your project needs at the flat price of the server.

No maintenance rabbit hole

SSL, storage and redeploys are handled for you. New PocketBase release? One click and you're on it — no server to log into.

How it works

Three steps, about two minutes

01

Pick the PocketBase template

Choose it from the gallery. Nothing to download, nothing to configure — the template already knows how PocketBase should run.

02

Click deploy

livemy.app builds it and gives you a live URL with SSL. Storage is attached automatically, so your data survives every restart.

03

Make it yours

Connect a custom domain and redeploy anytime in one click — from the dashboard, or triggered over MCP by the AI tool you already use.

FAQ

Self-hosting PocketBase, answered

How much does it cost to self-host PocketBase?
Free to try — the Free plan is $0 and gives you one project on a livemy.site subdomain. Maker is $10/mo and adds a custom domain, 10 GB and a 99.5% uptime SLA; Pro is $25/mo. Daily backups are a $5/mo add-on. No per-read, per-write or per-user fees.
PocketBase or Supabase — which should I pick?
PocketBase for simplicity: one file, SQLite, perfect for side projects and MVPs. Supabase for a full Postgres stack when your app is heading somewhere bigger. Both are in the gallery — many builders start on PocketBase and graduate later.
Does my data survive restarts and redeploys?
Yes — persistent storage is included on every livemy.app plan, so the PocketBase data file lives on disk that survives restarts and redeploys. Add the $5/mo backups option for daily snapshots on top.
Is self-hosted PocketBase hard to maintain?
It's the easiest backend in the gallery — one executable, one data file. Updates are one click of redeploy in the dashboard, or a trigger over MCP from your AI tool. There's no server to patch and nothing to install on your computer.
