Overview

What is Supabase?

Supabase is the open-source backend most AI-built apps already lean on: a real Postgres database, user authentication, instant APIs, file storage and realtime subscriptions in one box. Lovable, Bolt and Cursor projects reach for it by default — which is exactly why it's worth knowing you can run it yourself.

The hosted free tier has a catch every builder eventually hits: inactive projects get paused, and your app is down until you notice and click resume. Self-hosted Supabase doesn't pause — your database is a real service on a real server, up whether or not you looked at it this week.

On livemy.app you pick the Supabase template, click deploy, and your backend is live with SSL in about two minutes. Point your app's connection string at it and everything — users, data, files — lives on a server you control, at a price that doesn't move with usage.

Why deploy here

Same app, no meter running

These tools are free and open source. What you normally pay for is someone else's server — and their pricing page.

Never pauses

Supabase Cloud pauses inactive free projects — and your app goes down with them. Self-hosted on livemy.app it's simply always on, on every plan.

Your users, your data

Auth records, rows and uploaded files sit in your own Postgres on your own server — the backend of your app isn't a tenant in someone else's cloud.

No maintenance rabbit hole

SSL, storage and redeploys are handled for you. New Supabase release? One click and you're on it — no server to log into.

How it works

Three steps, about two minutes

01

Pick the Supabase template

Choose it from the gallery. Nothing to download, nothing to configure — the template already knows how Supabase should run.

02

Click deploy

livemy.app builds it and gives you a live URL with SSL. Storage is attached automatically, so your data survives every restart.

03

Make it yours

Connect a custom domain and redeploy anytime in one click — from the dashboard, or triggered over MCP by the AI tool you already use.

FAQ

Self-hosting Supabase, answered

How much does it cost to self-host Supabase?
Free to try — the Free plan is $0 and gives you one project on a livemy.site subdomain. Maker is $10/mo and adds a custom domain, 10 GB and a 99.5% uptime SLA; Pro is $25/mo with 50 GB. Daily backups are a $5/mo add-on — recommended for a production database.
Will my AI-built app work with self-hosted Supabase?
Yes — apps talk to Supabase through a URL and API keys, and a self-hosted instance provides its own. Swap the connection settings your builder generated for the ones from your instance, redeploy, and the app runs against your backend.
Does self-hosted Supabase pause like the free cloud tier?
No. Pausing is a policy of the hosted free tier, not of the software. On livemy.app every plan is always-on — your database keeps serving whether the app had traffic this week or not.
Is self-hosted Supabase hard to maintain?
It's the heaviest template in the gallery — several services in one — but the template wires them together for you, with storage and free SSL included. Updates are still one click of redeploy in the dashboard, or a trigger over MCP from your AI tool.
